Last Thursday, Cameco's Blind River Refinery hosted its 2nd annual Community BBQ.
We were joined by over 300 guests who enjoyed a barbecued meal in beautiful Sellers Park, while learning more about Cameco's local operations. Senior management, subject matter experts and employees were on hand to answer questions and meet members of the community.
Thank you to our volunteers and to all those who came out to support this event!
As part of our efforts to attract and retain a diverse and skilled workforce, we provided work placements for 18 Indigenous people in 2023. Read more about our achievements in our 2023 Sustainability Report. https://www.cameco.com/about/sustainability
We’re set up this weekend at the Port Hope Agricultural Fair.
Come visit us in the Fall Fair Centre to learn more about Cameco sites, our environmental monitoring processes, the beneficial role of nuclear power, and how local operations contribute to the nuclear fuel cycle.
